Visions
You paint a pretty
picture
on the easel of my
mind
of two people sharing
lives
together bound and intertwined.
You paint us by the
seashore
in silence with the
sea
or in God's majestic
mountains
with a wood cabin in the
lea.
Even visions so
grandeur
creates an inner
fear
of losing my time in
solitude
yet allowing you to be
near.
You paint a beautiful
dream
with ideas that you
attest.
Would you grant freedom
to be me
as my one and simple
request?
For the qualities
endearing me
to the vessels of your
heart
would fade somewhere in
time
if I lost my
counterpart.
